We Walk Beside Children Toward Healing

If your child has experienced abuse, neglect, or witnessed violence, you are not alone and neither are they.

At BraveBe, children and families are welcomed into a safe, child-focused environment designed to reduce fear and prevent further trauma. Our team works together in one place so families do not have to navigate the system alone.

During your visit, your child may receive:

  • A forensic interview conducted by a specially trained professional in a comfortable, age-appropriate setting

  • A medical evaluation focused on your child's health, safety, and well-being

  • Advocacy support to help you understand the process and connect to needed resources

  • Referrals to trauma-informed mental health services for ongoing healing and other supportive services

Our coordinated approach helps reduce the number of times a child has to share their story, supports investigations when necessary, and prioritizes your child's emotional and physical safety.

At BraveBe, kids come first — always. Our goal is simple: to help children feel heard, protected, and supported every step of the way.

Meet Eevee

Sometimes children need a little extra comfort and support when sharing their story. Eevee is our trained facility service dog who can be by a child’s side the moment they walk through our doors. She joins Forensic Interviews to help children feel calm and cared for while they talk about what has happened. You can often find her in the lobby with staff, greeting families, or sitting in on the first meeting with the team and caregiver when needed.
